The Navaho Thornless Blackberry is a brand new blackberry from the DownHome Harvest Edible Collection! This blackberry bush is self-fertile and produces plump berries that ripen in early summer. Furthermore, it's renowned for its delectably sweet fruit. In fact, these berries are the sweetest of the three blackberries in this collection, which also includes the Osage Thornless Blackberry and Prime-Ark Freedom Thornless Blackberry.

The Navaho Thornless Blackberry has attractive true green leaves grouped in threes. This foliage is deciduous and relatively fast-growing.

Keep in mind that this is a Floricane blackberry. This means that it fruits on growth from the past year. Therefore, be sure not to trim this variety in early spring. Instead, if you wish to trim your Navaho Thornless Blackberry, do so immediately after the harvest.

This variety has a naturally upright growth habit, so it makes picking fruit a breeze and rarely spreads. However, if a cane touches the ground for an extended period of time it can root.

The Navaho Thornless Blackberry reaches 4-5' H x 3-4' W so get those berry harvesting hands warmed up!

*The Navaho Thornless Blackberry is a deciduous/semi-evergreen plant and will go dormant during the winter months. When this plant is ordered during the Fall/Winter expect seasonal foliage decline(discoloration, spots, leaf drop) or the plant to arrive completely dormant.*

Navaho Thornless Blackberry Care

Hardy in USDA Zones 6-10, but will go dormant every winter.

Plant in Full Sun for best results. Blackberries need a lot of sun to produce fruit. Too little sun exposure leads to decreased berry production.

Water 2-3 times per week for the first growing season. During the next growing season, water 1-2 times per week.

The Navaho Thornless Blackberry tolerates most types of soil, including those with high clay content.

Fertilize in early spring with a balanced organic fertilizer, or a specific blackberry fertilizer.

My 90 lb. Pitbull's All-Time Fave Toy
Size: Large, Color: Coral, Size: Large, Color: Coral
I ordered a plethora of new toys for Bruce to keep him occupied while I am working remotely from home. Poor guy gets so bored while I'm stuck in front of my computer 8+ hours a day. All the other toys are animated, but this one is just a big floppy chewy squeaky toy. Bruce quickly lost interest in all the other chirping, hopping, and twirling toys and fell in love with "Diny". When I opened Diny and gave it to Bruce, he had the elated and surprised look of a 3 yr old at Christmas. And he stayed that happy for hours, and then each time he picked up Diny to play. Diny became his go-to toy over all others (and there are many!). It is well made out of durable fabric, and they did not stuff it full of kapoc (I hate kapoc in dogs toys!). And it is delightfully low-tech. Normally he tears a squeaky toy apart as soon as he can isolate the squeaky mechanism. But cleverly, the squeaky box is loose in the long belly so it moves from one end to the other as the toy is handled. That made it difficult for Bruce to locate it. The toy remained in good condition for 2 weeks of near constant attention by Bruce. But yesterday he zeroed in on the squeaky box and ripped Diny to shreds. I was sad to see Diny go so soon. But boy-howdy was Bruce happy with it. I'm gonna buy another because we liked it so much. And so did I : )

This is one “under the radar” gem!!
Size: Large, Color: Coral
This is one “under the radar” gem!! Very strong internal squeaker and way tougher than it looks. My big 125lb Shepard-Husky mix gave it heck, then made it his new buddy. He’ll occasionally give it the business but on the whole, it’s surprisingly tough and my big boy loves it. Nice price!!

Cute but small
Size: Large, Color: Skinny Green
Cute stuffy and has not yet ripped. While my dogs plays with it, the toy is a bit small for him. For reference he is 120lbs.

Powerful little ball
The ball is well designed, made, and is durable. It is functional and easy to turn on. It has a good amount of power and movement to capture my pets attention. It moves easily on wooden, laminated, and carpeted floors. The material is hard which makes it not break down easily when bitten or chewed. The colors are appealing and attractive.

Too big and heavy for my dog. Spins more often than it rolls. Good material.
The first time we used this, which honestly took a bit too long to figure out, our dog was excited and immediately kicked it under the couch. I guess that makes sense, you really have no idea where this thing is going to end up. I did fish it out after a bit, and it needed a charge. After reassembly, the ball would only spin in circles until it was hit. That's probably just as well, as it was still engaging and less likely to roll away. The issue is this is large and heavy, larger than a tennis ball and heavier than it looks. That's fine for big dogs, but it isn't great for small dogs like Boston terriers or frenchies, and definitely useless for toy breeds. My dog was able to lift it with the module removed, and that's how he prefers it now. The outer TPU layer is strong and grippy, so it's not a total waste. It looks a little rougher than the pictures appear but my dog doesn't mind. I get it... I"ve worked with TPU before and it's a temperamental material. The price is quite low, but not if you aren't getting use out of the mechanical aspect. This is a good value for the right dog: a medium dog with a snout - maybe a sheltie; definitely a golden. For others, a smaller version would be nice.
